Weapon Properties

Advanced items have a single property, whereas Item Specialisation weapons have two. Additional properties can be added to advanced and specialised weapons by consuming a minor item slot for each added property: advanced items have a hard limit of three properties, while Equipment Specialisation items have a limit of six. A minor item has no starting properties but may gain a single property by consuming a second slot. The same property may not be stacked!

Melee weapon properties:

Antiarmour
The weapon bypasses 50% more armour

Balanced
Further +30 to-hit when using an aim action

Calibre
+1 to PDC. Maxed at 1d12; Calibre will grant +2 effect if a weapon already has 1d12 attack

Cruel
The weapon deals 1d3 additional T damage on a critical hit

Defensive
Weapon grants +[PDC-2] armour when using an active defence (PDC of 1d10 would offer 1d6 bonus armour, and so on)

Quality
+1 to single action attack effect, +3 to double action attack effect, universal +10 to-hit

Quick
Universal +1 bonus to all saving rolls when using this weapon (Resistance, Reactions, Resolve). Counts as an active defence

Reach
Reduces penalty for targeting adjacent arenas by 20/2. +1 Initiative bonus vs Melee opponents without Reach. If a weapon with the Reach property does not already have Encumbrance, it gains 1 point of it

Jagged
The target's Resistance is considered to be four points lower (minimum of 0)

Keen
+5% crit chance and +5 crit damage on double action attacks

Unified
The weapon is connected to another nominated item or weapon. Switching between a weapon and its Unified mate is a single action instead of a double action

Inherent
The weapon can grant the effects of a nominated aspect when used, such as Quick Draw, if the wielder meets the aspect's usual prerequisites

Heft
Increases the effect of the weapon's double action attacks by +4, but reduces the PDC of single action attacks by 1 (e.g., a 1d10/3d6 weapon would become 1d8/3d6+4). If a weapon with the Heft property does not already have Encumbrance, it gains 1 point of it
