A character's level is equal to their build's total points cost /4. A 32-point build, for example, is level 8, a 3-point build is level 0.
1 minor item slot per level (to a minimum of 1). An Advanced item can be selected by combining two minors. A character may have 1 Advanced item at level 0, and another for every 5 levels afterwards (0, 5, 10, etc.)
A character has a number of aspect and Speciality slots equal to their level x 1.5, rounded down. Their maximum aspect and Speciality count is limited by their level, to a minimum of 1. E.g., a level 8 character has 12 slots but may have no more than 8 aspects or Specialities.
A Speciality starts at the +1 rank, but can be increased as high as +5 by investing further points into it.
Points | Level | Minor | Advanced | Max Speciality + Aspect slots |
---|---|---|---|---|
<4 | 0 | 1 | 0 | 1 |
4-7 | 1 | 1 | 0 | 2 |
8-11 | 2 | 0 | 1 | 3 |
12-15 | 3 | 1 | 1 | 4 |
16-19 | 4 | 2 | 1 | 6 |
20-23 | 5 | 1 | 2 | 7 |
24-27 | 6 | 2 | 2 | 9 |
28-31 | 7 | 3 | 2 | 10 |
32-35 | 8 | 4 | 2 | 12 |
36-39 | 9 | 5 | 2 | 13 |
40-43 | 10 | 4 | 3 | 15 |
(The above chart assumes that a character would always spend 2 Minors on taking an Advanced item, if available)
