Oh my god what am I doing
Occasionally I fritter away an hour or two coming up with character concepts and builds for Exigency games. It's a lot of fun! I thought I'd stop throwing them away and start posting them so we could all have 'a lot of fun'. Go on, join me. Make some yoself!
Here's one I cooked up earlier:
Greer Kynde
32pt cyborg
Concept: hotshot pilot (and hybrid gunslinger/brawler)

Implants:
Primary: The Wylace-Gant Direct Neural Interface is the mental accelerator of choice for the dedicated pilot. In addition to a comprehensive wetware package designed to give any pilot the cutting edge in the split seconds of space combat, it maintains a constant link to your ship to allow for communication or teleoperation. Note: for best results, pilot the craft from within the designated bridge or CIC. (FOC/AGI +4/+4)
Advanced: Want to know the odds on that spread of missiles impacting with your hull? Need a library of space warfare manoeuvres with commentary from the survivors? Tired of jotting down all your delta-v expenditures on scrap paper? The Jericho Systems Warhorse will carry you to victory! (INT +1)
8 pts (29 total)
Aspects:
Rush
Gunbrawler
Blindside
Martial Agility
Improved Charge
Lightning Reflexes
Finisher
Riposte
[considered: some kind of Quick Draw, or else leave it to Gunbrawler flavour]
In combat: she leaps on you, a whirlwind of fists, swords, and guns - and you better take her down quick, because attacking her will trigger riposte, and with finisher she gets stronger as you get weaker.
Items:
Advanced:
A sleek all-purpose flight suit, built for manoeuvrability but subtly well-armoured. Its special property might be Sealable, with a retractable full helmet for space walks or combat. Visually, think the Bride from Kill Bill, but in hotrod red.
Minor:
Some kind of pistol with a large capacity.
Some kind of sword with a large blade.
Final Notes:
- 3 points left over and she could be way better optimised with aspects, but the concept is clear enough that if she were to actually see play it could be sorted without much trouble. Any suggestions?
- Ed, I seem to remember having way more speciality/talent slots. Is 4 it, am I calculating it wrong? I like having half a dozen skills I never ever use, you see.
- As a character note, I get a huge mercenary vibe from Greer. Recently I've been trying to play against type (which is at core a do-gooder) just to shake things up, and she feels like she'd be a lot of fun!
